Tabea Debus


Tabea Debus is currently Meaker Fellow at the Royal Academy of Music as well as 2016 CMF Artist.


Her former teachers include Sabrina Frey, Dorothée Oberlinger, Gudula Rosa, Michael Form, Maurice Steger, Michael Schneider and Pamela Thorby, with whom she completed her Master of Music in 2016.


Tabea won first prizes at the international hülsta woodwinds (2011) and Johann Heinrich Schmelzer (2014) competitions.


Performances have taken her to renowned concert halls around Europe, festivals including Edinburgh International Festival, London Festival of Baroque Music and York Early Music Festival, and as far as Japan, Singapore and the USA.


She was chosen as Handel House Talent 2016/17 and St John’s Smith Square Young Artist 2015/16 and recently appeared live on BBC Radio 3 In Tune and the Early Music Show.


Tabea recorded her debut CD “upon a ground” in 2012 and released her second recording “Cantata per Flauto” in 2016.
