Cellist and Viola da Gambist Lea Rahel Bader regularly appears with renowned baroque ensembles and contemporary music groups both nationally and internationally.
She has performed in festivals such as the Händel-Festspiele Göttingen, Styriarte Graz, Zeitfenster Berlin and the York Early Music Festival and her playing can be heard on numerous CDs and radio productions.
She has won prizes in multiple competitions including the 18th International Bach Competition 2012 in Leipzig.
Lea Rahel completed her postgraduate degree on the baroque cello with Kristin von der Goltz at the Frankfurt Academy of Music and the Performing Arts after she studied for a diploma on the modern cello at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin under Hans-Jakob Eschenburg and Prof. Stephan Forck.
She has attended master classes with Claudio Bohórquez, Peter Bruns. Phoebe Carrai, Paolo Pandolfo, David Watkin and Jaap ter Linden, and is currently studying viola da gamba with Heidi Gröger in Frankfurt.
